HFG host latest Charity Golf Day

HFG Golf Day at Woldingham Golf Club – a great day for a great cause.

Last week, HFG were delighted to host our latest HFG Golf Day at the picturesque Woldingham Golf Club in Surrey. With 48 golfers in attendance, it was a brilliant day filled with friendly competition and some much-needed afternoon sunshine.

The day teed off with breakfast and a 9-hole Texas Scramble in the morning - a fun and fast-paced format that gave everyone a chance to ease into the day. After a well-earned lunch break, we moved on to the main event, an 18-hole individual and team Stableford competition. The sun made a welcome appearance in the afternoon, giving us perfect conditions for the main round and making for a truly enjoyable afternoon on the course.

Beyond the golf, the day had a special purpose. We were raising money in support of Jono Conolly, who was preparing to take on the London Marathon on Sunday in aid of Spinal Research. Thanks to the generosity of all participants, we raised £830 to support his fundraising efforts. We’re incredibly proud to share that Jono completed the marathon in an outstanding time of 3 hours and 37 minutes - a huge achievement and one that made the day’s fundraising efforts feel all the more meaningful.

A big thank you to everyone who joined us on the day, contributed to the cause, and helped create such an enjoyable atmosphere. We’re already looking forward to the next one!
