*PORTFOLIO UNDERWRITER VACANCY - COMMERCIAL*

I am currently recruiting on behalf of a growing Insurer based in Essex, who are seeking a Portfolio Underwriter, focusing within Commercial Motor Insurance.

This position will support the wider MGA's and their Underwriters to help with Underwriting Strategy, Portfolio, Loss Ratios and general Underwriting performance, as well as being a technical referral point.

This position is working within a very ambitious and growing business, where you will play a huge part in future growth plans.

• Support the business planning of Motor products using portfolio metrics rate, conversion, retention, price adequacy, UW actions and loss ratio projections working closely with pricing team.
• Oversee execution of planned actions with MGA's to ensure products deliver the target loss ratio.
• Be the Technical Underwriting Referral point for large cases, portfolios outside of MGA delegated authority.
