Job Title: Marine Broker Backup

Location: London/Hybrid (Typically 3 days in the office)

Salary: Negotiable depending on experience

Type: Full time - Permanent

As a Broker Backup, you will have the opportunity to not only support the lead Broker delivering proactive, high-value assistance, but also play the position of Broker when the lead broker is not available during busy periods. This is a great stepping stone to becoming a full time Broker.

Required:

· Experienced in any of the Marine LOBs - Cargo, H&M, P&T, Liabilities, Yachts etc…

· Desire to be client facing working as the lead broker when required

· Ability to work in the London office at least 2 days / week

Main Responsibilities:

· Act as the lead broker when required.

· Work directly with the Underwriters.

· Assist in reviewing client renewal information.

· Draft slips and endorsements.

· Initiate the contract drafting process, including updates and the production of final contract documentation.

· Support brokers in preparing submissions, compliance and regulation etc.

· Track the placement status of assigned accounts and update information accordingly.
