Job description

A leading London Market insurance firm is looking to hire a Data Support Manager. You will be responsible for supporting their new data platform. Ensuring data services are provided to the business in a reliable, secure and efficient manner. You will deal with support queries from the business and engage with the third-party vendors that cover the various different source systems that feed into their new data platform.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Refine, develop and implement the data support strategy, aligning it with organisational goals and objectives.
  • Incident and Problem Management: Lead the resolution of data-related incidents and problems, ensuring timely response and resolution according to defined service level agreements.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data reporting requirements and provide support in data analysis and reporting activities.
  • Work with application vendors and external partners to ensure the effective delivery of data-related services and solutions.
  • Assist the Head of Data Governance to establish and enforce policies and procedures to ensure data integrity, security, and compliance.
  • Help implement data quality standards and metrics, monitoring and improving data quality across systems and processes.

Key Requirements:

  • Experience and qualifications in Microsoft Azure data technologies
  • Good knowledge and hands on experience with DevOps and CI/CD pipelines
  • Strong understanding of the agile process, ITIL framework and best practices
  • Experience working with and managing third party vendors and suppliers
  • Proficiency in data management concepts, including data governance, quality, and lifecycle management
  • Deep knowledge of data-related technologies and tools, such as databases, data integration, and data analytics
