HFG are currently representing an established reinsurance company who are looking to bring in an assistant syndicate accountant to join their team. This role would suit a candidate who is eager to learn the syndicate accounting side of insurance. In this role you will be directly reporting into the Syndicate Controller.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the upload of fx rates and revaluations routines within the Sun ledgers.

• Assist in the preparation of regulatory reporting to Lloyd's.

• Liaise with external auditors and deliver reconciliations that are the responsibility of this role.

• Support the syndicate accountant in delivering timely, accurate and concise financial information as required.

• Assist in monitoring bank account balances.

• Assist in the preparation of weekly liquidity analysis.

• Assist in the preparation of quarterly VAT returns.

• Responsible for the setting up of payments in the banking system.

• Responsible for the setting up of FX trades.

General Skills & Experience:

• Experience within the Lloyd's insurance market for 1+ years

• Experience in the close process of a multi-currency ledger structure

• Working knowledge of UK GAAP

• Advance Excel and knowledge of Word

• Effective prioritisation and organisation skills
