Casualty Technician
Location: London, UK
Reports to: Head of Casualty / Operations Lead

My client is looking to appoint a Casualty Technician to deliver high-quality technical and premium processing support to the Casualty Broking Team. The role focuses on assisting with the placement and servicing of US Casualty risks, ensuring accuracy, regulatory compliance, and exceptional service to both clients and insurers.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to brokers in the placement and servicing of risks, including General Liability, Excess Casualty, and associated lines.

  • Produce, process, and issue insurance documentation such as quotations, MRCs, endorsements, and debit/credit notes.

  • Ensure all documentation meets FCA, internal company, and London Market compliance standards.

  • Process premiums, APs, and RPs in accordance with agreed terms and market procedures.

  • Liaise with clients, insurers, and finance teams to resolve premium and accounting queries efficiently.

  • Assist in the preparation and processing of bordereaux where required.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of placements, premiums, and bordereaux.

  • Support compliance obligations under the AR framework and internal governance standards.

  • Contribute to reporting and data analysis to support management information and board reporting.


Candidate Profile

  • Previous experience as a Casualty Technician within the London Market.

  • Knowledge of US Casualty policy wordings, or a strong willingness to develop technical expertise in this area.

  • Solid understanding of London Market processes and documentation standards.

  • Experience with broking systems (e.g., Whitespace).

  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.

  • A proactive team player who aligns with the company's values of integrity, accountability, and excellence.
