I am currently recruiting for a leading insurer who are seeking a Claims Adjuster to join their growing Disease team.

My client is seeking someone experienced in disease claims; particularly Asbestos, Pollution, and Health Hazard (APH). This role focuses on handling US Legacy claims. Ideal candidates should have 1-2 years of experience within Disease claims.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage own caseload; analyse critical data and factual reports; set appropriate reserves; assist in negotiating settlements directly with Cedants; and confidently make and support decisions.
• Update claims files by accurately capturing and updating claims data/information in compliance with best practices.
• Prepare clear and concise written and verbal reports for senior management.
• Maintain good working relationships with relevant parties, including Cedants, Brokers, Co-Re-insurers, and Legal Representatives, in the handling and analysis of Cedant's reinsurance claim exposures.
• Ensure all policy obligations are met and Customers are Treated Fairly.
• Comply with all compliance requirements, maintain confidentiality at all times, and serve as a company representative to model, enforce, and abide by all company policies.
• Achieve set objectives.
• Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results and participating in projects as needed.
• Support profitable growth by providing risk insight, information, and trends/emerging risks.
• Assist in auditing Cedants and other parties as required, including due diligence.
• Liaise with actuarial, finance, and operations as needed.
• Stay informed of any legal, regulatory, or medical developments.
• Report any significant developments, issues, and trends to the Head of Claims as necessary.
