U.S. Casualty Broker
Location: London, UK
Reporting to: Senior Leadership

My client is seeking a seasoned U.S. Casualty Broker to help develop and expand our US-focused casualty portfolio from London. This role is pivotal in placing and managing U.S. casualty risks into Lloyd's and the broader London market, working in close partnership with U.S. retail and wholesale brokers. The successful individual will bring strong technical capability, established market relationships, and an entrepreneurial mindset to support a growing platform.

Key Responsibilities

  • Place and oversee U.S. casualty business into Lloyd's and company market capacity, including General Liability, Excess Casualty, and associated lines.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with Lloyd's underwriters, company markets, and U.S. producing brokers.

  • Prepare and present high-quality market submissions with technical accuracy and commercial clarity.

  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and coverage to deliver optimal outcomes for clients and partners.

  • Manage renewals, endorsements, and new business opportunities across the U.S. casualty portfolio.

  • Ensure full compliance with Lloyd's, FCA, and internal governance requirements.

  • Collaborate closely with operations, claims, and leadership teams to ensure seamless execution and service delivery.

  • Contribute to portfolio development, market insight, and broader business planning initiatives.

Experience required

  • Demonstrable experience as a U.S. Casualty Broker within the London market.

  • Strong Lloyd's market expertise and deep understanding of U.S. casualty placements.

  • Established relationships with Lloyd's and/or London market casualty underwriters.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of U.S. casualty wordings, programme structures, and regulatory considerations.

  • Commercially driven, proactive, and comfortable operating in a dynamic, growth-focused environment.

  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Collaborative in approach and aligned with company values of integrity, accountability, and long-term partnership.

  • Play a leading role in shaping and scaling a growing U.S. casualty platform from London.
