I am currently partnered with a leading London Market business who are seeking a Senior Underwriting/Claims professional to join their growing team.

This role will be supporting (re)insurers with technical issues, training, and guidance whilst working on industry-wide issues like regulations, policy wordings, and emerging risks.

My client is looking for a London Market professional with circa 6+ years, who has a strong technical understanding of any line of business in this space.

Key Responsibilities

• Run and manage industry meetings on underwriting and claims; this includes setting agendas, taking notes, and following up on actions.
• Help shape the strategy for underwriting and claims projects, working closely with senior team members and insurance professionals.
• Lead projects within specific insurance areas - such as writing and reviewing policy wordings, preparing market responses to consultations, and creating briefing papers.
• Do research and analysis on industry issues - including new risks, market changes, regulations, and technical challenges.
• Build strong relationships with key people and organisations - like regulators, government departments, and other insurance associations to support and promote the organisation.
• Answer member questions on technical or operational insurance topics.
• Represent the business at industry meetings, government sessions, and conferences - either attending or speaking.
• Speak on behalf of the business in the media, giving comments or interviews on technical underwriting and claims matters.
