Location: London (Hybrid) Employer: International Lloyd's Broking House (not Big 3) Type: Full-time | Permanent
About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a leading international Lloyd's broking house as a Senior Treaty Broker specialising in Life, Accident, and Health reinsurance. You'll be part of a collaborative and growing team, managing client relationships and placements across international markets.
The position offers autonomy, flexibility, and exposure to complex treaty business, supported by a management team that values initiative and avoids unnecessary red tape.
Key Responsibilities
· Manage and develop client and reinsurer relationships across Life, Accident, and Health treaty portfolios.
· Structure, negotiate, and place treaty reinsurance programs within the Lloyd's and international markets.
· Work closely with internal analytics, technical, and wordings teams to ensure smooth execution and contract certainty.
· Support business development by identifying new opportunities and assisting senior brokers with renewals and new placements.
· Represent the firm professionally in client meetings and market negotiations.
Ideal Experience
· Experienced in Treaty Reinsurance (Life, Accident, Health, or related classes).
· Strong technical understanding of reinsurance structures and market dynamics.
· Confident communicator, capable of building strong relationships with clients and reinsurers.
· Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
· Comfortable working in the London office at least two days per week.
