Job description
Finance Manager
An excellent opportunity to join a high-performing finance reporting team within a strong US presence. This role is responsible for the completion and management of the Corporate Finance function for the Group, to ensure all reporting, systems, cash flows are delivered in a controlled and timely manner, working closely with the CFO and Group Head of Finance to effect change and development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership of the day to day corporate financial reporting both internally and externally with oversight from the Group Head of Finance. Communication and dissemination of the agreed finance strategies, business priorities, operating models and relevant procedures and standards
- Developing and maintaining efficient month end, quarter end and year end close procedures, reporting accurately and on time
- Oversight/Review and assistance with preparation of quarterly management accounts for each entity and group consolidation pack
- Build robust controls, audit files and analytics to support reporting
- Oversight of cash flows and forecasting cash flows
- Review payroll and control expense management for the group (PM, invoicing, personal expenses)
- Oversight of VAT (internal) and Tax (Warren Averett/HMRC) submissions
- Production of quarterly board meeting materials for review
Requirements:
Several years post qualified experience in general insurance (industry or accounting firm)
UK/US GAAP experience preferred
Prior experience working at a MGA/Insurance broker
High attention to detail and ability to challenge the status quo
Proven ability to influence, lead, and deliver high-quality outputs on time
