Job Title: Senior Downstream Energy Broker

Overview

We're looking for an experienced Downstream Energy Broker to join our Energy team in London. The ideal candidate will have 10-15 years of experience in the downstream energy insurance market and a strong technical understanding of complex risks. You'll manage key client relationships, structure placements, and deliver tailored insurance solutions across refining, petrochemical, and power sectors.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and grow relationships with downstream energy clients.
  
  
• Structure and place complex risks into the Lloyd's and company markets.
  
  
• Negotiate terms and coverage with underwriters.
  
  
• Review and draft slips, wordings, and endorsements.
  
  
• Provide technical input on property damage, business interruption, and liability exposures.
  
  
• Support junior brokers and contribute to team knowledge sharing.
  
  

Skills & Experience

• 10-15 years of experience in downstream energy broking or underwriting.
  
  
• Strong technical knowledge of refining, petrochemical, and power generation risks.
  
  
• Established relationships with clients and underwriters in the London market.
  
  
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  
  
• Attention to detail and strong analytical ability.
  
  
• ACII or equivalent qualification preferred.
