HFG are currently working with a leading speciality insurer within the London market who are currently looking for an Accountant to join a dynamic finance team. The role reports into the Controller of International Shared Services and offers a broad scope across financial operations, expenses, statutory reporting, and process improvement.

Responsibilities:

• Perform allocations and expense recharges

• Maintain and record inter-company loan balances and interest schedules

• Reconcile bank accounts monthly

• Prepare non-technical balance sheet reconciliations and resolve differences across multiple ledgers

• Support preparation of statutory accounts under UK and local GAAP

• Complete all period-end tasks in line with group and SOX controls

Requirements:

• Qualified or Part-qualified accountant or equivalent finance qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA)

• Familiarity with Oracle

• Experience working with multiple currencies

• Comfortable working with SOX controls and foreign subsidiaries of US-owned entities

• Insurance industry experience is desirable
