HFG’s Summer Golf Day raises £1,500 for Dan’s Fund for Burns
On Monday 24 August, we welcomed clients, candidates and friends of HFG to Burhill Golf Club for our Summer Golf Day in support of Dan’s Fund for Burns.
With the sun shining, the day brought together our main golf competition and our third beginners’ golf clinic, before everyone came together for a BBQ and drinks on the terrace.
A great day on the course
After arriving at Burhill and preparing for the day ahead, our golfers headed out for the main competition. The very dry, fast-running fairways provided an added challenge, while the excellent greens helped make for an enjoyable individual and team Stableford competition.
There was plenty of good golf across the day, as well as some healthy competition between the teams. Congratulations to all our prize winners, and in particular to Joshua Knight, who was crowned this year’s overall winner.

Our third beginners’ golf clinic
Alongside the main competition, we also held our third beginners’ golf clinic with Burhill’s PGA professionals.
The clinic gave guests the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of the game in a relaxed and supportive environment. With expert coaching and plenty of time to practise, it was a great introduction for those picking up a club for the first time, as well as anyone looking to improve their technique and confidence.
It was brilliant to see everyone getting involved and enjoying the experience. At the end of the clinic, the beginners joined the golfers from the main event for the BBQ, bringing both parts of the day together.

Most importantly, the day raised £1,500 for Dan’s Fund for Burns.
During the day, Polly Miller spoke to our guests about the charity and the important work it carries out, helping everyone understand the difference their support can make.
