In our 'My time at HFG' series, we ask our employees how it has been settling in to life at HFG in order to gain a better understanding of the challenges our staff face and the aspects they most enjoy!
Our next guest is Madeleine Marais, an Associate Consultant within our Audit and Compliance team.
"Since joining HFG, I have had a wholeheartedly positive experience. The team are very welcoming, helpful and friendly and have helped me to adjust to my new, corporate career.
I previously ran my own business in an unrelated field and anticipated that learning more about insurance, and recruitment, would be challenging. The regular internal and external training however, has helped me greatly. A career in recruitment offers much more than expected and I have very much enjoyed building relationships with candidates, learning about their career aspirations and their day-to-day responsibilities.
Within the team, we have a great dynamic and I split my time evenly between internal audit and compliance. It has been great working alongside both Lee and Paul and they are extremely knowledgeable in their sectors, teaching me plenty along the way!
On a personal note, HFG hosts regular social events which are not only great fun, but provide the opportunity to bond with people in other teams and get to know my colleagues from around the office.
